//VID:Fliptrix - Wylin Out

Fliptrix has been coming up in the UK hip hop scene for a couple of years now, though I only just discovered him recently (pity!). I totally rate this guy's animated style of delivery and sense of humour, complimented by a hilarious video. This is one of his latest tracks, which dropped last month on High Focus Records. This label is building an impressive roster of intelligent and forward-thinking UK emcees.

//VID: Kim Ill Sung's 100th Birthday

A skateboarder by the name of Patrik Wallner and his crew went over to North Korea to do some skateboarding (?) when they ended up in the middle of the 100th year birthday celebration of the Immortal Sith Ghost Kim Ill-Sung. The video documents  Asian 1984-type imagery as they walk between outdatedly dressed  citizens and German-grade military persons. Oh, and they also weren't allowed to skate.

//NEWS: Rupert Murdoch and the Parliament of Bribery

It's bad enough that Rupert Murdoch, our most beloved News/media business genius mogul Sith invader senior, has many hacking allegations looming over his head but now he has to defend himself against the allegations that he's also into bribery and other forms of corruption to sway political opinion towards his side. I'm not going to encourage the idea of him being a corrupt businessman but obviously if you have a lot things you want to quickly get in order to advance your empire, you're going to have to give up some cash.

This is something normal muggles can't seem to quite understand. Once you're rich enough, the law starts to become a bit of an obstacle you can only overcome by showing a little 'support' to those working on the other side. He says 'I never asked any politician for anything' but I don't think he ever needed to. The whole point of financially backing politicians is that they consider your interests like a friend would. Is it really bribery if you don't tell the person being bribed what you want? Not really.

The real problem and the real question we need to be asking is why now that Rupert Murdoch's 'Unfair Practices' are coming into question after so many years? Is the new generation of politicians not getting enough 'support' or am I supposed to believe that they're are actually starting to care about the cleanliness of the U.K. parliament?

//MIX: Slow Motion Ocean- A Lovetape.

This fellow villainous business designer and occasional collaborator recently put me onto a mix he made over a year ago. I sort of feel stupid for just listening to it right now but it's definitely on the good list of mixes I've heard lately. Mind some of the songs being a bit old but here it is:

Here's the link to his website:

//VID: Nas- The Don

I don't remember the last time I heard Nas spit as good as this in a video. It probably was the Made you look video. Here's Nas living it up stylish and then some.

//MSC: Bombzombies (DJ Nobody+ Nocando)- FWUH (Fuckwhatchaheard)

I know I know, it's about time. But I only found out about Nocando lately through all those freestyle rap battles and this song caught my ear. Apparently it's been out for two years now and has been a bitch to find. However, here it is in all its glory. L.A.'s Nocando and DJ Nobody present:

//ECO: More Apple Comparisons

I don't really enjoy discussing Apple at all but posting these charts showing the Company's insane growth is almost a requisite for running a blog about Villainy. That and the fact that I like cool looking charts.

If you have no idea what's going on here, like I did originally, the green line symbolises Spain, Portugal and Greece's companies and their sum share values while the white line is basically Apple's . Notice how at the end (2012) the white line basically overtakes the green line as Apple market value reaches a whopping 600 Billion, overshadowing anything valued in any company in those three countries.

If you're still confused to as what it means- it means Apple shares are worth more than all the companies in three large European countries combined.

//STYLE: Grey Shirts

I'm a big sucker for the color Grey as well as a sucker for Pattern shirts. Add a tie into the mix and you basically have my style down. To my surprise a photo combo on GQ showcased the very best of just that.

//VID: Dumbfoundead- Cool and Calm

Check out this video of him totally Asian-ing this black guy out in a fight.

//Update: New Logo

As you can tell by now, Villainian has a new logo and banner that has been designed and put together on this Friday the 13th Occasion.

//MSC: The Nasha Experience- Qawali Dub

When is someone going to cop a full version of this? I can't find it.

//VID: Drive- Element

Couldn't just post a video of mediocre skateboarders without something bad-ass to follow it up. Here's an Element crew on a roadtrip.

//VID: Skateboarding/DNB

Wouldn't say they're landing anything crazy but I appreciate the adding of Liquid into the mix. So this video is for mood purposes only.

//VID: Dumbass Anti-Piracy Video by Microsoft

Not only is it tough having to deal with the Incredibly insulting (and kinda gay) label of 'Pirate' when you're just a user that simply can't afford (or don't see the point in) paying 70$ for a copy of M.S. Word, but to also be bunched in with Identity thieves, Credit-Card Phishers and burglars? That's just a little too insulting. Especially when they're wearing ridiculous body camouflage suits and hiding out in Fax Machines. Tell me this doesn't look absolutely retarded:

//DOC: Fault Lines- Disenfranchised in America

Al-Jazeera's 'Fault Lines' reports on a rather subtle issue of Republican sponsored voting laws being put in place in several States within the U.S. in order to make voting more regulated. What's the villainous twist, you ask? Well, it makes it tougher for minorities to vote.

An oversimplified view but I'll accept it nonetheless.

//MSC+VID: BadBandNotGood

Imagine if the Cinematic Orchestra didn't become so clean and, orchestra-ish. It's true that The Cinematic Orchestra were, at the time, raw Modern Jazz at its finest, but with time they built themselves up to a high level of purity. This is where Badbandnotgood comes in (or you can call them BBNG). They are what The Cinematic Orchestra would've become if they had retained that rebellious element present in their early Ninja-Tune years.

 BBNG are not, in any way, a replica of the Cinematic Orchestra but rather a post-dubstep band paying homage to Coltrane and Davis, something similar to their British Counterpart 'Submotion Orchestra'. While most follow the path of Burial to simulate the sound of concrete melancholy, they chose to fly somewhere along the lines of Somber Noir with an evolved Hip Hop element. This is proven by their covers of James Blake's Limit to your love, a piece so deep that it has you wondering what other future-(insert sub-genre name here) sounds would be like on acoustic instruments, and also by their collaboration with weirdo-rapper Tyler, the Creator (no further comments).

I didn't write much about where they hail from or who the members are...but I don't really want to. The music deserves full attention here, nothing else. BBNG's music serve as a testament to the power of Acoustics in digital times.

They've released two albums for free on their band-camp and I would highly suggest you head over there right now for free download.

//NEWS: James Murdoch No Longer Head Villain of BSkyB

James Murdoch

While people are asking the question of what will happen to the Sky Company (British News Giant) as the Murdoch son goes from being Non-Executive Chairman to Non-Executive Director, I ask a more daunting question: What exactly is a f***ing Non-Executive Director?

I looked it up on wikipedia and I got this rather vague explanation as to what an NXD does (not to be confused with Independant Directors).

"Non-executive directors have responsibilities in the following areas, according to the Higgs Report, commissioned by the British Government and published in 2003:
  • Strategy: Non-executive directors should constructively challenge and contribute to the development of strategy.
  • Performance: Non-executive directors should scrutinise the performance of management in meeting agreed goals and objectives and monitoring, and where necessary removing, senior management and in succession planning.
  • Risk: Non-executive directors should satisfy themselves that financial information is accurate and that financial controls and systems of risk management are robust and defensible.
  • People: Non-executive directors are responsible for determining appropriate levels of remuneration of executive directors and have a prime role in appointing, and where necessary removing, senior management and in succession planning.
NEDs should also provide independent views on:
  • Resources
  • Appointments
  • Standards of conduct
Non-executive directors are the custodians of the governance process. They are not involved in the day-to-day running of business but monitor the executive activity and contribute to the development of strategy."  -

So basically, someone that sort of lays around the shadows with very little risk but a high level of power over who gets what positions and whatnot. Hmmm...

//NEWS: Lulzsec files being deleted

Anonymous' Massive Data Leaks Are Being Erased Off the Internet

Hacked data retrieved by Hacker groups such as Anonymous and Lulzsec is being deleted off the internet by the text-based website company that keeps it all safe.

"The Register reports Pastebin's Dutch owner and awesome last name possessor, 28-year-old Jeroen Vader, is tired of thousands of abuse alerts and DDoS attacks against his meek little site, which wanted only to become a place to anonymously and easily post text before it was appropriated by Sabu and co. Vader is now bringing in some cavalry, hiring an entire staff to manually purge the site of countless credit card numbers, passwords, personal addresses, and the rest of Anonymous' trove."

This brings to question the code of ethics the scene has within itself and the amount of  work hackers will have to do in order to keep valuable documents safe.

//VID: Orbital- Wonky

For years I had assumed their inactivity but it turns out I assumed wrong. Here they are kicking butt as good as ever with a wonky video that features a terrible actor and a grime cat. Definitely a weird direction considering I mostly remember them for that ambient house song that was in about a million movies.

//MSC: CX_VS Dusty Vinyl Series [Madlib x Flying Lotus]

Any person with a good thirst for Hip Hop will be able to name at least 3 of these beats from Madlib's and Flying Lotus' extensive catalogues. If not then give it a listen anyway.

//VID: 12 year skateboarder old lands 1080- makes everyone else look bad

It's not really crazy that 12 year old Tom Schaar owned this trick after five tries as much as it is crazy that Shaun White (who has a bucketload of sports games named after him) has been trying for years and still can't do it.

//VID: Max Payne 3 Multiplayer explained

I'd never really advertise a movie but I remember the original specifically because it had a woman with three breastesess. I read somewhere that Len Wisemen also put a chick with three titties in this movie.
